Content

Pilliad Echons was recorded over 2009 in Athens. 36 minutes of grass roots electronics and meta leftism aesthetics illustrate a sonic crossover from past to present. Intro track “Burt Raiden” is composed of looped bell & flute phrases along with a steady use of electronics and a very specific, underlying militia rhythm. “Magnastro” gravitates around the Casiotone 403 (an earmark for the LP altogether) and its subtle drum machine, percussive loop elements. “Glass tanned skin” submits a multi-layered, almost ecumenical use of harmonium and processed ukulele. Half way through the record “Adeline Abattage” points to a different direction; turntable locked grooves and traversed rhythms trigger a 72rpm melting, endless mirror effect. Outro track “Tarantula” reverts to miniscule guitar loops, harmonium and noise treatments, purging that para-dimensional equity of Pilliad Echons.
